John’s allotment garden at City Road in Dundee has given him plenty of ideas for both summer and winter landscape paintings around City Road Allotment Gardens with pots, water barrels, wheelbarrows, ramshackle sheds and broken down fences adding to the artistic drama.

Crombie Reservoir acrylic size 24 × 12 inches £900
Crombie Reservoir had been drained when I explored this favourite walkers beauty spot. The winter snow added to the beauty of the reservoir, and drifts of pine and spruce trees added character, as did the drifts of reeds glowing red in the late sun.
This acrylic on a box canvas turned out to be a lovely snow scene winter landscape painting.
