“The Black Hat” watercolour, 17 × 18 inches

The Black Hat is a watercolour painting of a lady wearing a black hat. While working on my project of Lady in Red as she wanders around Dundee I tried to get a red hat to match the rest of the clothes for my lady in red, but with no success, but we found this lovely black hat, so another project began with ladies wearing the black hat. To create some drama with this image I used a low light shining upwards into the hat and my models face.
