John has always had the artist eye that finds beauty everywhere from landscapes, buildings, flowers, people and still life and needs to get captured on canvas

Landscape paintings of the Scottish Highlands, Scottish lochs, Castles, Scottish villages and towns, Isle of Skye, my favourite island, and some watercolour paintings from Australia. Most paintings are in acrylic with some oil paintings and a few in watercolour and pastel. Some of the larger paintings are perfect great impact as wall art, and several may be combined as diptych or even three together as a triptych wall art.

John paints contemporary Scottish landscape images as winter landscape paintings as well as summer landscapes.
Several have now been published as limited edition prints.

Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh was always one of my favourite spots for an Edinburgh painting. There are flowers , trees and lawns which are perfect for visiting tourists having an outdoor picnic in the sun. Visiting tourists to Edinburgh always visit these gardens. My painting takes in the tourists, the gardens, Princes Street and the Balmoral Hotel.
