John has always had the artist eye that finds beauty everywhere from landscapes, buildings, flowers, people and still life and needs to get captured on canvas

Landscape paintings of the Scottish Highlands, Scottish lochs, Castles, Scottish villages and towns, Isle of Skye, my favourite island, and some watercolour paintings from Australia. Most paintings are in acrylic with some oil paintings and a few in watercolour and pastel. Some of the larger paintings are perfect great impact as wall art, and several may be combined as diptych or even three together as a triptych wall art.

John paints contemporary Scottish landscape images as winter landscape paintings as well as summer landscapes.
Several have now been published as limited edition prints.

Memories of Skye oil 23 × 17 inches £1100

This oil painting started off as The Harvest with fields of corn just gathered in with straw bales lined up over the fields in the distance. I was not happy with it but did like my beech trees in the foreground so it got changed when I was looking for a canvas for a new Isle of Skye painting. However I did keep my trees. The winding road links up Portree with the Braes village on the banks of Loch Sligachan
